Designing a Fully Responsive Design System

A core requirement of the project was the creation of a truly responsive platform supported by a clearly defined design system.

The experience needed to perform consistently across all major devices, while remaining flexible enough to support future partners, promotions, and reward mechanics. To achieve this, the platform was designed and prototyped in Adobe XD, with a component-based system and responsive ratios that scaled cleanly across breakpoints.

A companion style guide defined typography, color, layout, and interaction rules, ensuring long-term consistency and faster iteration as the platform evolved.

Users engage with the platform by scanning a QR code on recyclable cups purchased from participating vendors, making mobile-first design essential. Every screen, state, and transition was carefully considered to support a frictionless journey — from scanning the code to tracking progress, collecting points, and redeeming rewards.

Clear visual hierarchy, simplified flows, and direct feedback helped guide users through the experience with confidence, even in fast-paced, real-world environments.
